Rewind Creative achieves finalist stage at the Midlands Start Up Awards 2023
We’re delighted that Rewind Creative is a finalist for Marketing, Advertising and PR in the Midlands Start Up Awards, for the second year running.
The Start Up Awards celebrates the contribution of new business ventures across ten regions in the UK, and the awards recognise the impact that Start Up businesses are having on the economy and communities.
Rewind Creative has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Marketing, Advertising and PR category for the West Midlands this year, after receiving the same accolade in 2022. Our work with clients in the last year has reflected changing audience behaviours in light of the cost of living crisis and possibility of a recession, with our strategies updated to support our clients navigate their markets and continue to connect with their audiences effectively.
One of our clients in the residential architecture space appointed Rewind Creative in 2022 to carry out their rebrand, marketing strategy and launch. Our agency team developed a new brand identity to encompass both their architectural experience and their new vision for self-builds and renovations.
We carried out a successful launch of their new brand across web, PR, social media, and paid advertising. In the first 3 months of launch, we secured tier 1 coverage in Homes & Gardens, with 8.4 million potential impressions, which led to 5 leads from prospective customers. Our social media campaigns increased their social media reach by 1,672% and engagement by 418%. We surpassed our KPI by 489%, generating high quality prospective leads across the Midlands between August and November 2022.
We’re also aware there are many small businesses that can’t afford to outsource their marketing, but still need support. We’ve been working with Norfolk County Council since February 2021, dedicating our team members’ time to provide free advice and action plans for small businesses. So far, we’ve supported over 130 businesses in the county and will be continuing to support them over the next 2 years. This opportunity has allowed us to give our expertise and thoughts into how they can overcome any digital obstacles and really drive their business forward in the modern age.
Speaking on the achievement with the Start Up Awards, our founder, Matthew Layton said “One of the reasons why I created Rewind Creative was to give a better solution to SMEs. I launched Rewind Creative after 8 years of working in-house and seeing how difficult it was to work effectively with agencies. I wanted to rebuild agency and client relationships, integrating teams, visions and goals so that our clients could be truly aligned with us.
“We integrate stronger with the way we work, brainstorm and plan with our clients and this is exactly why we love working with small businesses. We wanted to create a service and approach that gave SMEs access to our experts and specialists, with affordable, realistic pricing and bespoke strategies that really understood their business and audience.”
One advantage of being a start-up is the ability to build a core team that understands the vision and truly believes in it themselves, which we are extremely proud of and has been something we have strived for from the beginning. This has been an important element of building our team and bringing in employees who are passionate about working in a small business that can really make a difference for other businesses through our creativity.
Having team members that understand the fundamentals, opportunities and challenges of a small agency means that they are more understanding and empathetic to Rewind Creative’s small business clients and are able to provide them with creative solutions that are affordable, but capable of driving real business growth. This approach to the team is one that every employee will carry forward in our growth to new stakeholders so that our group vision is completely holistic in what we do.
The last few months, we’ve re-looked at our vision and purpose and are very excited for what’s in store for RWX this year. To be recognised for the work we are doing for our clients, in what has been a very difficult time for businesses, is a very proud achievement.
We can’t wait for the awards in May, and in the meantime, we’ll be gearing up with more big announcements and launches across the group.
